We are located in the small town of Groveland in Lake County, Florida. A quaint little town where orange groves, berry patches, tree farms, and livestock are the main industry. The area is full of lakes, springs, and parks. We love it!

I started Handmade by Malee when we needed to supplement my teacher's salary to help pay for tuition for my boys in college. I was scared to death I would fail and so I named my company Malee, my brother's nickname for me. I made about 20 hooded towels after much practice, ordered a tax ID number, and signed up for the Downtown Clermont Farmer's Market to sell my wares. I was clueless! Thankfully this is a wonderful town and the vendors assisted me with everything from getting a tent to taking credit cards. Voilà, we were in business.

We are a long way from the 5 hooded towel designs I started with. We now have over 40,000 embroidery and applique designs. If you don't see what you want here, just drop us a line. We can create a customized look just for you.

 

We add designs all the time that do not make it on the web site. We embroider and applique towels, aprons, napkins, pillowcases, pillows, baby blankets, t-shirts, polo shirts, dress shirts, key chains, and even socks. We have added many brand names to our line as well. Names such as Gilden, Next Level, Bella Canvas, North End, Harriton, Columbia, Champion, Dickies, and a whole lot more.
